Why Ravi?

Significant Life Experience

  • Started working at the age of 17 as a Computer Teacher in India, Worked in various sectors in the last 25 years.
  • From childhood, Ravi learnt about the struggles for social justice from his father and brother who were union activists in the manufacturing industry in India.
  • Ravi arrived in Swindon with just £20 back in 2006. Now he is able to provide educational opportunities to disadvantaged children internationally through a charitable school he helped set-up.

Deep local connections

  • Lives and works in north Swindon with his family.
  • Parish Councillor for Stratton St Margaret and Haydonwick.
  • An active member of the local CLP and an officer within the EC.
  • He frequently campaigns locally, enjoying talking with local residents, Ravi is a face many people will recognise.
